How much does a AAA ounce cost?

A AAA ounce costs $59 to $140 CAD for 28g as of September 2026: $59 to $109 on the deals shelf above, $98 to $140 here, or $3.50 to $5.00 per gram. This is the shelf where the size question bites, because most AAA strains are sold in 7g, 14g and 28g, so the saving sits on one row. Bottom and top are $42 apart on identical weight.

Blackberry Pie at $98 is the lowest per-gram ounce on the AAA shelf, at $3.50, and it is the row reading n/a: today it is bagged as the 28g only. Master Yoda sits at $105, or $3.75 a gram, and it is an indica, so it is the heavier end of the shelf without the $140 ticket. One oddity: Donkey Butter charges $90 for 14g, while its shelf-mates at the same $140 ounce price charge $80. That changes nothing about the ounce. It does change the two-bag math.

Is a AAAA ounce worth $180?

A AAAA ounce is $180 CAD for 28g on all eight AAAA strains we stock in ounce form, which is $6.43 a gram, and it earns that price only if you can tell the difference once the bag is open. No AAAA ounce is priced lower, so the cheap way to test the shelf is a 7g bag at $65 before you commit to 28g.

We will not pretend $6.43 a gram is a value argument. It is not. Against a $140 AAA ounce, a AAAA ounce has to earn a $40 premium every time you open the bag. Some people find that it does. If you are buying on price, it does not.

Does one 28g bag beat four 7g bags, and when does it not?

Yes, on every strain above that comes in more than one size: one 28g bag costs less than four 7g bags of the same flower, by 31% to 36% depending on the shelf. Three worked examples, at September 2026 prices.

Candy Rain, AAA: four 7g bags at $55 each is $220. One 28g bag is $140. You keep $80, which is 36% less for the same weight.
Master Yoda, AAA: four 7g bags at $40 each is $160. One 28g bag is $105. You keep $55, which is 34% less.
Pink Rockstar, AAAA: four 7g bags at $65 each is $260. One 28g bag is $180. You keep $80, which is 31% less.

Two 14g bags narrow the gap without closing it. Two 14g of Pink Rockstar is $220 against $180 for the ounce, so the ounce is $40 less, or just over 18%. Two 14g of Candy Rain is $160 against $140, a $20 gap, or 12.5%. The packing differs too: 14g reaches you as two 7g bags, 28g as one.

The ounce is the wrong buy in two situations. If you have never smoked the strain, buy the 7g and pay the premium for the information: $55 is a cheaper mistake than $140. If you smoke rarely, 28g of one strain is a lot of flower to keep in good shape and a lot to stay interested in. We would rather sell you two different 7g bags than have an ounce go stale in a drawer.
