What does Pink Lava look and smell like?

Olive and purple bud, dense and tacky to handle, sitting under a greasy layer of trichomes. On the nose the fuel arrives first and a sweet, floral Kush note comes up behind it. It is a loud jar: the gas is what registers on opening, the florals only after.

Is Pink Lava an all-day strain?

Honestly, no. Our verdict on it has always been that this is a bedtime bag rather than an all-day one. The first few pulls stay manageable, then about half a joint in it turns heavy, which is where most people set it down. Plan it for the end of an evening.

Honest verdict: Pink Lava is a bedtime bag, not an all-day one.

The listing we inherited called it Pink Lava Kush on one line and Lava Pink on the next, and claimed a parentage nothing backs up. We stock it under one name, on the AAA shelf, filed indica.

What a bag of Pink Lava looks and smells like

Dank gas first, sweet floral Kush underneath, vanilla and earth on the tail. In the bag:

Medium nugs, dense and sticky.
Olive and forest green shot through with light and dark purple, rust pistils on top.
A greasy rather than dusty trichome layer, chunky heads that usually survive bagging.

How the evening runs

It arrives behind the eyes fast, eyelids down early. The head stays calm while the body takes half a joint to catch up, then keeps stacking until leaving the couch stops sounding reasonable. That is why it sits on the indica side of the menu; how long a weed high holds covers the back half. If you only smoke before noon this is the wrong bag; Jet Fuel is the sativa sitting on the same shelf. THC for this tier usually sits in the low-to-mid 20s. Batches differ, so we quote the range, not a decimal.

The Kush suffix and the reversed word order have trailed this bud for years. One name, one page: Pink Lava. Nothing came with the lot to prove a family tree, so we are not writing one.

Mine turned up greasy. How do I keep it that way?

Cool, dark, sealed, and stop opening it to look. Chunky heads are the first casualty of a dry bag and the gas goes with them; storing flower properly and why the terps fade cover it. We bag to the weight ordered, nothing else.
