Backwoods Vanilla

Information

The one most people ask for by name. Vanilla sits right on top of the natural leaf — sweet, plain, not perfumed — and everything else stays where it was. Five cigars to a pack, and nothing on them is graded the way flower is.

The Vanilla character

Sweet and straightforward. The vanilla is the whole idea: it lands early, holds through the middle, and never turns into candy. Under it is the same dark, slightly sour leaf every Backwoods is built on, which is what keeps the sweetness honest.

These are tobacco cigars, not cannabis: no strain, no grade, no THC figure. They sit on the papers, wraps and accessories shelf beside the Juicy Jays blueberry hemp wraps, and we stock them for the same reason.

How they smoke

Loose, and slower than they look.

The leaf is unpressed and ragged on purpose, so the draw is wide and the burn wanders if you rush it. Most people who buy these are splitting them rather than smoking them straight — how to use a blunt roller covers that, and what a blunt actually costs does the arithmetic.

If you don't smoke tobacco, skip this one. Ready-to-smoke pre-rolls or King Palm slim cones get you there without the leaf.

What comes in the pack

Five cigars, one sealed pack, nothing bagged at our end. Gear lands in batches; an empty page means between deliveries. Everything is priced in CAD on the buy box above. Free delivery and free Ground shipping apply to orders over $150 CAD; under that, local delivery is a $10 flat fee, mail orders pay the shipping rate shown at checkout, and the minimum order is $60. Every order includes a free gift.

Backwoods Vanilla — questions

Which Backwoods should I start with?

This one. Vanilla is the least demanding of the flavours we carry — sweet without being loud — so it is the fair test of whether you like the leaf at all. Move to Chocolate for dessert or Black Russian for coffee once you know.

How do these compare to our Juicy Jays wraps?

Backwoods are finished cigars, five to a pouch; Juicy Jays are flat wraps you fill yourself. The wraps are the easier of the two if you have never rolled one.

How should I store a Backwoods 5-pack?

Sealed, cool and out of direct sun. Heat and open air are what dry the leaf, and dry leaf cracks the second you unroll it. We keep ours in a drawer, not the fridge.

How do I pay, and how fast is delivery?

Local GTA delivery lands within 2 hours of order confirmation, 12PM to 10PM, 365 days a year. Outside the GTA we ship Canada-wide by mail order, paid by card or e-Transfer. Pay by Interac e-Transfer, which carries a 5% fee, or cash on delivery on local orders. Every delivery is 19+ with government-issued photo ID checked at the door.
